Keenan Project Designs was given a brief to improve the main hall and lobby of King Henry VIII school. We started by conducting our interior design service to understand what can be done to improve the existing hall as well as understand what the school want it to look like. To do this we looked into what the current problem was which was that the hall was very dated, very dark and had an echo effect. We produced a full 3D model of the hall and lobby to show all our ideas that we could virtually walk through using our 3D software. This meant we could really get our ideas clearly across to the school and show the differences and advantages. The design consisted of new lighting, painting, brick refurbishment, window refurbishment, sound boarding, offset ceiling panels and much more. The next step was to obtain quotes from the various trades who would undertake the work, which we obtained by using our many existing contacts.
We then put an entire project cost in front of the school so they could understand how much it would cost to make the refurbishment a reality. KPD were then instructed as project managers to run the entire refurbishment. We started the project by confirming which trades and contractors would be instructed for the job and started work with the refurbishment. Our role as project managers was to arrange and instruct all the trades and contractors during the project’s duration, keeping to the agreed schedule, dealing with any problems such as material delay and adapting the plan to suit so the project could stay on time. KPD were present on site at least three days of each week that the project ran for meaning we had a tight grip and understanding on the current state of the project. We inspected the trades work and kept a high standard of finish so that the end product was as immaculate as possible. The project was completed on time and on budget with excellent feedback from both King Henry VIII school and the Coventry School Foundation. The visuals for this project can be seen in the ‘Projects’ section of our website.[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]
